Bypass Virus Scanning for Streaming Media (Audio and Video)
Posted by Alejandro Sanado on 25 June 2010 04:44 PM
Applicable Versions: version 9.5.4 build 92 onwards
By default, virus scanning for video and audio files is enabled and Cyberoam
blocks malicious and suspicious files based on MIME header. Cyberoam anti virus
scanning is independent of file extension.

To disable virus scanning for Audio and Video files:

   1. Logon to Web Admin Console
   2. Go to Anti VirusàHTTPàConfiguration
   3. Click ‘Do not Scan Audio and Video Files’ checkbox to disable virus scanning for
       streaming media

Once the anti virus scanning is disabled, Cyberoam will not scan any audio and video files
for virus and delays caused by scanning and downloading the entire stream prior to playing can be avoided.
