Allow and Block spam mails using White lists and Black lists

Solution

Step 1 Create White list from Anti Spam > Configuration > Address Groups with 
the following parameters:Problem

Solution

Step 1 Create White list from Anti Spam > Configuration > Address Groups 
with the following parameters:

Parameters

Value

Name

White list

Group Type

Email Address

Email Address

Type all the email address from which mails are to be allowed

Step 2 Create Black list from Anti Spam > Configuration > Address Groups 
with the following parameters:

Parameters

Value

Name

Black list

Group Type

Email Address

Email Address

Type all the email address from which mails are to be blocked

Step 2 Update Global Policy to add spam rule from Anti Spam > Spam Policy > Global 
Policy with the following parameters:

Parameters

Value

From Email Address

Black list (created in step 2)

SMTP Action

DROP

Result: Above rule will drop all the mails received from the email addresses included in the Black list.

 

Step 3 Update Global Policy to add spam rule from Anti Spam > Spam Policy > Global Policy with the following parameters:

Parameters

Value

From Email Address

White list (created in step 1)

SMTP Action

ACCEPT

Result: Above rule to allow all the mails received from the email addresses included in the White list.
